I had the privilege of learning from Omar Aazam during the two‑month pre‑doctoral course at Coventry University. He was my mentor and taught our class of 14 students almost every day.

Omar is a friendly and engaging mentor who makes complex lessons feel approachable. His teaching style is kind, encouraging, and motivating. Although all of us were Indonesian students adapting to the UK academic environment, Omar helped us feel comfortable and confident. He guided us, especially in academic writing and reading skills, boosting our belief that we could succeed in preparing for our PhD journey.

I met Omar on a Pre-Sessional Academic English course for a PhD Bridging programme. He is the whole package: enthusiastic, a teacher but also a learner for the specific topics of his students, and highly resourceful. Any student under him would be very lucky and most certainly improve quickly.

I've been learning Listening and Writing English to pass my IELTS exams with a better score. I learned a lot of techniques and courses online but I was getting the overall band of 6.0. But with this tutor, classes are totally different because a lot of rules become clearer to me and I was able to pass the Academic IELTS with an overall band of 8.0 within 2 months.

At meantime, students know the teamwork and erase the embarrassment of speaking English. With the passion, students never feel boring. Omar is a deeply respected teacher with rich teaching experience. His teaching methods is very suitable for us, according to the knowledge structure of the course features, focused, structured. Furthermore, he can broke the ice during the class by telling jokes sometimes. The atmosphere is lively and all the student love to join in.

In 2019, Omar and I met at Coventry University. At that time, for me, who had just come to England, life and language were my obstacles. I am honored to be Omar's student. In terms of learning, his vivid and interesting teaching methods are welcomed by students, making it easier for students to understand. In life, he actively answers and helps us. Therefore, I think he is a qualified teacher and a very good friend!

Omar is a nice teacher. He is eagerly willing to help students learn English, and teach them as many as possible. His teaching style is not boring, sometimes, He will invite students to enjoy some table games which arouse their interest of English.
