About Katia
I am a university graduate and have been teaching since 2003. I specialise in English Literature and Language, and have successfully been coaching students to achieve good marks in their exams.
Since 2011, I have also started to prepare students for the secondary school entrance exams (11+ and 13+). I have on occasion also worked with 12+, 14+ and 16+ clients. My success rate is over 95%.

I work with the pupil and gradually stretch their abilities and help develop their potential. This happens organically as all my classes are interactive. In the first sessions, I give the student trial snippets of work of various aspects of English. This gives me an initial overview of what the students strengths and weaknesses are. Subsequently, I am able to cater for that student's needs and we commence work. Typically, the student begins to see improvement after five to seven sessions. From there on is a case of pushing further and developing the student's abilities and skills.

Details
Rate is hourly (60 min) and for a 1:1 lesson.
I have a 24-hour cancellation policy, whereby the student is charged full price if cancels within that period. Half-tuition is chargeable if notice within 36 hours. Tuition continues during holidays and is fully chargeable if one-month's notice has not been given.
