About Anna

Hi everybody! I'm Anna, a 21 year old History of Art student, currently studying at University. I am currently on my year abroad, studying Arts & Culture, at Rotterdam University, but back in England, I am enrolled at the University of Birmingham!

I am a hugely creative person, previously studying English Language/Literature, Art History and Fine Art at A-Level.

Ultimately, I believe that learning should be engaging and fun! I want to ensure that my lessons will be something my students will look forward to!

As a student at Uni, who is still undertaking exams and assignments, I understand exactly how it feels to feel under pressure. I aim to relieve some of your stress, ensuring my lessons are exciting, yet informative.

My lessons will be approached in a way that will make them engaging and dynamic - we will approach a new topic each week to keep the learning fluid, or... if you prefer, you let me know what you'd like to study and we will go with that!

I am here to help and will cater to whatever you wish to study!

About the lesson

The typical length of a lesson would be 1 or 2 hours, depending on your preference! In terms of my experience, I have experience in a primary school, working one on one with students. I am used to catering my teaching to the pupil's needs! I have also worked in a secondary school, so I am aware of how to adapt my tutoring to various age groups. Being a History of Art student at University, I have volunteered at an art gallery, working as part of the Learning and Engagement sector. I would host workshops for children, which were both educative and fun! I think it is important to make learning engaging for the student, through clear explanations and relevant examples.

As a tutor for English Language GCSE, I can provide support with structuring answers, essay planning and by approaching my lessons with a smile, I will ensure that my students will leave my lessons feeling fulfilled.

As a tutor for English at KS2 level, again I will approach my lessons with a welcoming approach, using visuals to engage my pupils! I believe creativity goes a long way as a tutor.
