Degree and experience in organizational psychology, behavioral health, and therapy, also graduating with a Master of Science in BCBA. Steps of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Identify the Behavior Define the target behavior in clear, observable, and measurable terms. Conduct Assessment Use tools like interviews, direct observation, and functional behavior assessment (FBA) to understand the behavior's context. Collect Baseline Data - Gather data on how often, how long, and under what conditions the behavior occurs before intervention. Develop Intervention Plan - Design evidence-based strategies using reinforcement, prompting, modeling, or other ABA principles tailored to the individual. Implement the Plan - Apply the intervention consistently in natural or structured settings with trained staff or caregivers. Monitor Progress - Continue data collection to track changes in behavior and determine effectiveness. Modify as Needed - Adjust the plan based on data, progress, or changes in the environment or goals. Generalization & Maintenance - Teach skills across settings, people, and materials, and plan for maintaining behavior long-term.
