About Walid
Hi, I'm Walid — a native Egyptian, born and raised in Cairo, currently based between Egypt and the Gulf region. By profession I'm a dentist, but languages have always been a big part of my life. I studied for several years in Russia, which pushed me to become fluent in Russian alongside my native Arabic and my English, and I've also picked up Spanish along the way. Learning languages in a completely different country, from scratch, taught me a lot about what actually helps something click versus what just adds confusion — and I bring that same practical mindset into how I teach Arabic.
I'm naturally curious and enjoy traveling, meeting people from different backgrounds, and understanding how other cultures communicate — which is a big part of why I love teaching Arabic to non-native speakers. Whether you want to speak comfortably in everyday situations, understand the dialect people actually use in Egypt, or build a more formal grounding in Modern Standard Arabic, I enjoy adapting to what each student needs rather than following a rigid script.
