About Ayesha
I want to begin by thanking you for considering me and taking the time to look through my profile.
I am currently a second-year architecture student in London, and despite my lack of teaching experience in the past, I am more than ready to tutor students for up to Key Stage 3 level maths. Having achieved an A in my GCSEs, I believe I can help students build confidence in their mathematical abilities.
Through open communication and personalisation of every session, I aim to make students feel comfortable coming to me with any problems and leave with a positive perspective on approaching maths in the future.

My number one priority throughout my lessons is not to simply guide my students through their struggles in maths, but to watch their perspective and confidence surrounding mathematics as a whole evolve and solidify. Oftentimes, a student in class will lack the ability to understand a concept, not because they are simply not smart enough, but because it was not spoken in a language that could be translated to them. Just like any other language, maths is a form of communication that sometimes is understood better through different dialects. Through each of my sessions, I hope my students will understand that their relationship with maths is not a stagnant black-and-white picture but rather a skill that can be perfected with the right attention, care, and patience.
Through each session, I aim to make my students feel welcomed and open to speaking about all the areas of maths that they are not only working on but thrive in already. My focus will be to help the student with the topics that are most relevant to them, whether that be their homework for the week, a topic they struggled to grasp in class, or an area they want to strengthen for an upcoming test. By breaking down their thought processes and deconstructing the exact headspace of the student, I can identify which learning method best suits them and adapt my teaching techniques and pace. Using adaptability and complete personalisation, I believe that my students will gain confidence in themselves and build a relationship of trust with maths through every lesson.
