About Smaranda
Hello! After 17 years of teaching ESL within the CSSMB school board, I still find great joy and meaning in what I do. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Literature, a Certificate in English Language from McGill University, and a Graduate Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language (also from McGill). In my classes, I teach English through games, stories, projects, and lots of speaking practice. I believe that making mistakes is a natural and important part of learning, and I encourage my students to take risks, stay curious, and celebrate their progress. When I design curricula, I always keep students’ interests and needs at the center. My goal is to create an engaging environment. As a parent myself, my goal is to see the parents happy about their children's improvement and great grades :)
