About Kathleen
Technique is often treated as a chore, but it is actually the source of your freedom. Even the most complex shifting positions become intuitive once the foundation is set.
I use my MMus training to break down difficult intonation and rhythm problems into manageable parts. Rhythm and timing are not just mechanical requirements, but the heartbeat of the piece. I have spent 13 years of experience observing how a slight change in posture can fix a lifetime of tension. Please reach out if you have questions about your current setup or posture.

Teaching provides a rare chance to observe the precise moment when a student finally understands how to balance their weight against the violin bow. I hold an MMus from the Schulich School of Music, an achievement that informs every minute I spend with working professionals and younger musicians. Growing up in Montreal allowed me to synthesize classical rigour with a refined, gentle teaching style.
My journey at the Conservatoire de Montréal was defined by the same pursuit of excellence I demand from myself today. Whether you are a busy adult or a dedicated child, I look forward to hearing you play your first confident notes.
