About Lori
Language is not a series of formulas but a conversation that happens in the air between us. Imagine sitting in a cafe as we work through the tricky nasals that make French sound like music. My lessons provide a space for conversational fluency where we move beyond the textbooks.
Since I am a native Québécois speaker, I focus on the living language rather than dry translations. You will practice listening exercises that reflect real life.
Whether you are prepping for the DALF or just want to chat, my background ensures the material sticks. I bring my guitar to sessions to demonstrate the cadence of the language. Let us sit down and get to work.

Teaching French keeps me connected to the roots of my life in Montreal. It is honest work. After 13 years playing Québécois folk music, I see language as a rhythm that needs to be felt.
My 7 years of teaching experience help me break down nasal sounds and complex liaison rules for adults. I have guided over 100 students through the nuances of cultural context and business communication.
Many people come to me because they struggle with everyday phrases. I hold a unique background as a self-taught musician turned instructor. This keeps my approach grounded and practical for working professionals.
