About Adelaide
I am an art historian and educator with a BFA in History of Art & Design and an MA in Art History, combining rigorous academic training with hands-on experience in museums, galleries, auction houses, and studio practice. My research interests focus on how artists, materials, and visual culture reflect the histories and values of the societies that create them, with particular interests in works on paper, landscape, and the relationship between art, science, and history.
My teaching brings this same curiosity into the classroom. A typical lesson combines close looking, visual analysis, historical context, and discussion to help students develop the skills to understand and interpret artworks. I also draw from my professional experience in the art world to give students insight into careers in museums, galleries, conservation, research, and other creative fields.

My teaching combines in-depth academic knowledge with hands-on experience in the art world. With a BFA in History of Art & Design, an MA in Art History, professional experience in museums, galleries, and auction houses, and a background in studio art, I help students connect art history to the real world.
A typical lesson combines visual analysis, historical context, and discussion-based learning. Students will explore artworks through close looking, learn how to build strong arguments, and understand how artists, cultures, and historical events shape visual expression. I also incorporate my professional experience to introduce students to the many careers available in the arts, from museums and galleries to conservation, education, and research.
