About D’asjia
I am D’asjia Plessy and I am an artist and i am pursuing a degree in art history. I have been doing art work since I was in the 3rd grade but I have officially had a business selling art and tutoring on the side for the past 4 years. I specialize in acrylic paint and ceramics. Although, I am knowledgeable about the other styles as well.
I am trying to get as much practice as I can with teaching before I become an official teacher and professor as well. Though, I have been doing this for quite sometime, I am still a student and I always value the feedback of others. This is a humbling and fun experience for me and I have no doubt the the students will enjoy it as well!

A typical lesson plan would start with the question, “What is art?”.
We then have an open discussion about what classifies as art and how broad a spectrum art can be.
Later, we talk about the elements and principles of art. The art we create around these topics will help me figure out how our later lessons should go and also helps determine if the student is a beginner, novice, intermediate, or expert.
Mostly, this is to inform and relax the student. Thinks of this lesson as an informative therapy.
K-12 students are my niche however these lessons are open to everyone. No matter the age.

The first session is an introduction to the lessons. I will get to know the student and edit plans based off of their skill level. I will also take that time to talk about myself and answer any questions or concerns the student my have.
