About Jalissa
Hi! My name is Jalissa and I'm seeking my B.F.A. in Sequential Art from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). I am also a published author of 3 fantasy novels. I love stories in written and visual art mediums. I love oil painting, charcoal sketching, and brush ink pens the most.
I have art tutoring experience and I've aided past art teachers in and after class at a local art museum. I have a certificate from the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in Modern Art and Ideas that I earned through their course on Coursera.org. I have taken several university art history courses throughout the years as well as personal study most of my life. I will help you with the overall art history or specifics (regions, periods, movements, mythology, etc) you would like to learn and explore, and how to find other resources as well.

My approach as a tutor will be personalized to your goals and needs. We will first discuss your current experience with art history and specific art period or movement interests, and what you want to accomplish moving forward. From there I will map out a lesson plan with you based on short-term or long-term scheduling.
