About Laura
I have been giving lessons since 2003. I have taught 5 summer sessions in Drawing, Painting and Fiber Arts, both Middle School and High School level at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Muskegon, Michigan. I had 112 students at one time in my Studio downtown, Laura's Heart Studio. I have long term substitute taught Art K-8 in Battle Creek and had 750 students total for the semester. I have had students return from the county fair with all best of class ribbons and first place ribbons. I have had students win local Art competition awards in their further endeavors.

I am a Michigan Certified K-12 Art Teacher, Professional Artist and Muralist. I have 6 murals in Detroit at Detroit Enterprise Academy. My Third certification renewal expired in 2015, therefore I still teach home school students by appointment. I owned and operated Laura's HEArt Studio, Llc (See on Facebook) in Hastings Michigan for one year 2008-2009 and then closed to be with my sister as she battled her last with breast cancer. I am so happy to find this opportunity to reach and teach on line.
I am studying to become Board Certified Nutritionist with Venice Nutrition IBNFC. I can currently take clients for helping them stabilize their blood sugar and normalize their body's five systems.

Details
My rates do not vary based on student's level. I take each level as seriously as if they are the only level that I teach, highly respecting their development level and teaching to it. I do not push students beyond their development stages due to the fact that it can cause self esteem damage. I do encourage my students to self assess and positive affirm their work each session.
I choose to only teach on line for now. I prefer to manage my time and travel as closely as possible due to the fact that I have a side job for more consistent income. I will teach on pre appointed times with the student and maintain open communication with the parents.
