About Akumu
I am an artist/ writer / social media manager / soon-to-be software developer. I started doing deliberate practice in drawing when I was about 7 years old. Since then I allowed art to infest my life and I really want to spread that infection to other people. I am obsessed with pencil art and specifically portraits. What else is more intriguing than the human face?

I base my teaching methodology on the skill level and personality of my student. I am flexible with my style as long as my student is getting as much practice as they need to get better. I certainly push my students out of their comfort zones. It's the best way for them to learn and the best way for me to know how best to teach moving forward.
