About Şevval Betül
I am a first year medical school student who wishes to become an excellent doctor one day. I am from Turkey so my mother tongue is Turkish. I learned English later in school.
I always loved science growing up. The fact that I was able to understand how things work fascinated me. My mother is a chemistry teacher and my father was a physics major. They taught me to stay curious about new things.
The main reason why I love to teach is the fulfillment I find in expanding young kids' worldviews. Because I know I would be a different person if I wasn't introduced to maths and science at such a young age. I aim to inspire as many kids as I can to study science and maths.

I teach maths and chemistry on my personal notes. Although, I have my own way to teach, I'm quite flexible when it comes to the curriculum and the materials I use. I mostly help students to prepare for their exams so I have a special teaching technique for each student.
A typical lesson lasts around an hour but I generally don't finish the lesson unless the topic we study is done.
I graduated from a science high school with a GPA of 96/100. And I scored 460/500 on our national university entrance exam. I recently got a 7 band on IELTS.
I taught kids around the age of 7-14 for five years. I helped them with their homework for the most part and prepared personalized study programs for them.
I worked in summer camps teaching English and painting with kids under 12. So I am very comfortable working with kids.
My lessons are for kids under the age of 14. I can also teach high schoolers but my knowledge is limited in some areas of study.
