About Sophie
Hello!
My name is Sophie and I'm obsessed with all things under the 'written communication' umbrella! I can help primarily with essay writing (both creative and academic), dissertations and proofreading/editing, however if there's something in particular that you would like my help with, please just let me know.
I have recently achieved a distinction in my masters degree in Event Project Management (2021), following a first class honours bachelors degree in Music Journalism (2015). I am also a professional Copywriter with nine years experience, an Editorial Assistant for an academic journal and have five years experience in training 16-24 year olds in supervisory fashion retail jobs.
As I am an aspiring university lecturer, my main focus is on undergraduate assignments, however I'm more than happy to help with GCSE and A-Level work too.

I know it can be a little daunting asking for help and the most important thing to me is that students feel comfortable. If you work best with an army general-esque style of learning with someone screaming and shouting at you, we're probably not a very good fit...! I am a fan of a 'firm but friendly' approach that provides honest feedback on effort and execution without becoming intimidating.
I adapt my lessons to your own personal learning style and goals by sending a quick questionnaire before our first session. Students can then send me their work in their own time which we can discuss in the next class.
I know that some students can find talking on Zoom or other video platforms very uncomfortable or a real source of anxiety. I hope that you feel enough at ease with me that the prospect isn't too uncomfortable, but I can absolutely adapt classes to continuous voice note communication through the session if you are worried about speaking on camera.
