About Charlotte
Currently working in the world's leading Insurance broker as a Talent Sourcer, I graduated from the University of Leeds in 2017 with a 2:1 European BA degree in English Language and Literature.
Throughout my time at university, I worked as a Peer Mentor for the School of English; this involved mentoring First Year students with their school integration as well as providing guidance on their studies. I also worked in a similar manner for our Study Abroad office.
Likewise, as a part of my degree, I completed a French Language Summer School and the University of Limoges and an Erasmus year at the University of Nantes, France. Here, I learnt how English is taught as a foreign language and had the opportunity to tutor some students 1-1 - from the equivalent of degree to Masters level.
I have recently undertaken my CIPD Level 3 qualification where I learnt how to deliver effective learning and development sessions and am keen to continue to develop my learning by combining my knowledge of the English language (and of course, literature) with an understanding of how people learn.
My teaching style is engaging and fun with a knack for simplifying complex concepts in order to help them 'stick'.
