About Joe
Hello! I'm a passionate and dedicated tutor with a strong background in guitar, reading, and writing. With an undergraduate degree in music and extensive experience writing during my Theater for Youth doctoral program at Arizona State University (ASU), I bring both creativity and academic expertise to my teaching. I also have four years of experience teaching 5th and 6th grade reading and writing, giving me a deep understanding of how to support young learners in developing strong literacy skills. Whether you're a beginner guitarist, a student looking to improve reading comprehension, or a writer refining your craft, I tailor each lesson to meet your unique needs. My approach is patient, engaging, and student-centered—focusing on building confidence, fostering creativity, and making learning an enjoyable journey. Guitar Lessons: I focus on chords, fingerpicking, strumming patterns, and music theory, making sure you develop both technique and creativity. Lessons are structured around songs you love, helping you stay motivated while improving your skills.
Reading Tutoring: I use interactive exercises, storytelling, and comprehension strategies to help students develop confidence and fluency in reading.
Writing Tutoring: I provide step-by-step guidance on grammar, structure, creativity, and essay writing, ensuring clear and effective communication.
