About Ruben
Hi, I’m Ruben! I’m currently studying Medical Science at the University of Sydney and aspire to pursue a career in medicine. I have a strong passion for Biology and Chemistry, particularly understanding how scientific concepts connect to the human body and real-world medicine.
Having recently completed the HSC, I understand firsthand the pressure and challenges students face. I achieved a 97.75 ATAR with Band 6 results in 3U Mathematics and Chemistry, and have since achieved High Distinctions in Biology and Chemistry at USYD.
I’ve been tutoring for over two years and really enjoy helping students gain confidence in subjects they may initially find difficult. I’m friendly, patient, and approachable, and I try to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and genuinely improving.

With over 2 years of tutoring experience, my lessons are personalised to each student’s strengths, weaknesses and goals. I focus on building a strong understanding of concepts rather than simply memorising answers, while also teaching effective exam techniques and problem-solving strategies.
I provide structured lessons, targeted practice questions and detailed feedback to help students continually improve. My support also extends beyond lesson time - students can reach out with questions or concepts they are struggling with, so they never have to wait until the next lesson for help.
I am dedicated to each student’s progress and adapt my teaching style to suit how they learn best. My goal is to build confidence, improve results and help students become more independent learners.
