My approach as an English Literature tutor is rooted in clarity, curiosity, and genuine connection. I use techniques such as close reading, interactive discussion, structured analysis, and real-world analogies to make even the most complex literary ideas feel accessible. A typical session begins with a short warm-up to activate critical thinking, followed by an in-depth exploration of a selected text or topic. We then build essential skills—crafting thesis statements, structuring essays, developing interpretations—and reinforce them through active practice, such as short writing tasks or annotated analysis. I always end with clear, constructive feedback so students know exactly how to improve, along with a simple takeaway task to reinforce learning without overwhelming them.
