About Barathi Priya

Hello! My name is Priya, and I am an Australian-educated IT and Data Science graduate who has now settled in India after marriage. Teaching has always been my passion, and I am excited to share my knowledge and help students grow in English and Math. I bring with me over 2 years of experience teaching children aged 5 to 12, guiding them with patience and encouragement. My approach is simple: I want students to feel comfortable, confident, and stress-free while learning. I let children attempt solutions first, even if they make mistakes, and then guide them towards the correct method — because mistakes are stepping stones to real understanding. Parents can trust that their children will be supported in a safe and structured learning environment, while older students will benefit from clarity, practice, and exam-focused strategies. I am passionate about making learning enjoyable and meaningful, and my goal is to see every student gain confidence and achieve success in English and Math.

About the lesson

Teaching techniques and methods My lessons are built on real-life examples so students can easily connect concepts to everyday situations. I encourage children to try solving problems on their own first, even if the answers are not correct. Then, I guide them step by step to the right solution. This method helps them build confidence and overcome their fear of mistakes. For older students, my focus shifts to clarity, consistent practice, and exam-oriented strategies that prepare them for strong results. Class structure A typical class lasts approximately 2 hours. I begin with a quick recap of the previous lesson to ensure the concepts are well understood. Then I introduce new topics, give practical examples, and encourage questions. Towards the end, we practice exercises together so the student leaves the session feeling confident. Special features as a teacher I am a patient and supportive tutor. Having been a student myself not long ago, I understand the importance of stress-free learning. I want my students to feel comfortable, ask questions freely, and develop confidence in their own abilities. Who my classes are for My lessons are especially suitable for school children aged 5–12, but I also teach older students who want to strengthen their English and Math fundamentals or prepare for exams.
