About Col
As a filmmaker I started as a documentary filmmaker at the BBC. I then went on to write and direct award-winning short films. Then I directed commercials out of Ridley Scott Associates. I then wrote and directed 3 feature films that have been released in the cinema and broadcast on BBC1, BBC2, HBO, Sundance Channel etc.
In person I have taught over 2,000 students over the last 15 years at the NFTS and in many of London's top film schools. I have also worked one-to-one with hundreds of documentary filmmakers. My students have often gone on to achieve huge success.

I teach using the same successful methods that I use myself in my short films and feature films. My students often go on to achieve huge successes - Netflix commissions, BAFTA nominations, multiple festival wins. Typical length of class 1 hour. I have taught short filmmaking and micro-budget feature filmmaking at the NFTS for the last 12 years. I also run my own documentary consulting business. Lessons are for all levels. Age 16+
