About Timothy
I am a classical pianist from Austin, Texas, and I currently study Electrical Engineering at Texas A&M University. Piano has been a major part of my life for 14 years, and I am passionate about sharing that experience with students in a thoughtful and encouraging way. Outside of piano, I also enjoy swimming, which has taught me discipline, consistency, and perseverance—qualities I bring into my teaching as well. I have earned awards including South Texas Piano Competition Winner, ADMTA Solo Contest Winner, TMTA State Solo Competition Runner-Up, and 4x TMTA State Finalist. My favorite composer is Chopin, and I especially love helping students develop both technique and musical expression through classical piano study.

My lessons focus on building strong technique, musicality, sight-reading, practice habits, and music theory in a supportive but serious environment. I tailor each lesson to the student’s level and goals, whether they are beginners learning fundamentals, intermediate students improving repertoire, or advanced students preparing for recitals and competitions. A typical lesson includes warm-ups, technique, repertoire work, problem-solving practice strategies, and musical interpretation. My background in competitions and advanced classical repertoire helps students learn not just how to play the notes, but how to perform with confidence and expression.
