About Enes

Enes Pektaş is a opera singer and a voice teacher trained at Yale and Mannes School of Music in New York.

His recent performance in New York was praised by the New York Times as “winningly melodic, rhythmically crisp and successfully funny.”

With over 10 years of teaching experience, Enes has worked with singers at every level — from complete beginners to professionals performing on international stages. His students include artists across genres, including the singer of Manifest, one of Turkey’s  most popular groups.

Pektaş’s operatic roles include Musiklehrer in Ariadne auf Naxos with Merola Opera, Gianni Schicchi in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi, Michele in Puccini’s Il Tabarro, Don Giovanni in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Caretto in Korngold’s The Silent Serenade, Barak in Busoni’s Turandot, Leonidas in Adamo’s Lysistrata, and Le Fauteuil in Ravel’s L’Enfant et les Sortilèges. He has also performed scenes from Hamlet, Lucia di Lammermoor, Don Carlo, Così fan tutte, and Le nozze di Figaro.

Pektaş has received awards from the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition (New York District), the Gerda Lissner Foundation, the Giulio Gari Foundation, the Opera at Florham International V ocal Competition, the Siemens V oice Competition, and the Istanbul Baroque Singing Competition. On the concert stage, Pektaş made his Carnegie Hall debut in 2023 and returned to the same prestigious venue in 2025 to perform Mahler’s Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen. He has also performed Ravel’s Don Quichotte à Dulcinée and Schumann’s Dichterliebe, demonstrating his affinity for the German Lied tradition and French mélodie repertoire.

Every voice is different — and so is every lesson. Whether you’re picking up singing for the first time, exploring it as a creative outlet, or developing your skills more seriously, we’ll build a plan around your goals and your voice.

We’ll work on the fundamentals that make a real difference: breath support, resonance, and expression — tailored to where you are right now. I teach singers of all levels and genres, from classical to pop.

Lessons are available online and in person.

Find out more about Enes

  • When did you first develop a passion for music and your favorite instrument?

My love for music began at the age of 5 when my brother and I started giving imaginary concerts.
Later on, I got in to fine arts school and started playing cello at 14. It was the beginning of our
    musical journey.
  • Is there a particular type of music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?

    German Lieders from Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau
  • Explain to us the most difficult or riveting course you could personally give to a student of music.

Must say Ear Training but it’s always exciting to see the students improvements.
  • What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?

Every instrument demands dedication and time, but consistency can lead anyone to proficiency. The
key is to never give up and work hard.
  • What are your keys to success?

    Consistency
  • Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.

    Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau
    Dimitri Hvorostovski
    Sher
    My opera heroes.
  • Provide a valuable anecdote related to music or your days at music school.

When I was in my bachelors and performing, a few junior students and even some of my classmates
wanted me to share my experience and teach them. That’s when I started teaching and found my
    passion.
  • What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?

My biggest goal is my students vocal health when they’re singing. I used to suffer a lot about this and
that’s why this is my biggest teaching method. You’ll sing relax and healthy in my class and see the
    improvements right away.
