About Dr AKSHAYA
I am an MD Ayurveda graduate specializing in Swasthavritta And Yoga, with a strong interest in teaching and helping students develop a clear understanding of Ayurveda.
I completed my BAMS and postgraduate MD Ayurveda education from Government Ayurveda Medical Colleges Pariyaram and Tripunithura in Kerala. My academic journey has given me a strong foundation in both the classical principles of Ayurveda and their application within the academic and preventive healthcare framework.
I am comfortable teaching BAMS students from 1st year to final year and can help students with a wide range of Ayurveda subjects. I particularly enjoy teaching the major classical Samhitas, including Ashtanga Hridaya, Charaka Samhita and Sushruta Samhita, as well as Swasthavritta and Preventive & Social Medicine. I can also assist students with other BAMS subjects according to their academic requirements, with the exception of Padarthavijnana and Sanskrit grammar.
My approach to teaching is based on conceptual understanding rather than memorization alone. I believe that Ayurveda becomes much easier to learn when students understand the reasoning behind a concept, its classical foundation and its practical relevance. I therefore aim to explain topics in a simple, systematic and approachable manner, while maintaining the academic depth required for BAMS studies.
I can help students with topic-wise learning, syllabus completion, revision, examination preparation, difficult concepts, doubt clarification and viva preparation**. Classes can be adapted according to the student's needs — whether they require detailed teaching of a subject, focused revision before an examination or help understanding a particular topic.
As a teacher, I aim to create a friendly, patient and interactive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and discussing their difficulties. My goal is not simply to help students remember answers, but to help them develop a stronger and more confident understanding of Ayurveda.

My Teaching Methodology
I believe Ayurveda is best understood through clear concepts rather than memorization alone. My teaching approach focuses on making the BAMS syllabus simple, structured and easier to understand.
I use clear explanations, relevant examples, classical references, diagrams and structured revision to help students build a strong understanding of the subject. Wherever appropriate, I also connect classical Ayurvedic concepts with their practical relevance.
Typical Class Structure
Each class will generally follow a structured approach:
* Brief revision or discussion of the previous topic
* Systematic explanation of the new topic
* Important concepts and classical references
* Focus on important and exam-relevant points
* Examples and clarification of difficult concepts
* Quick recap at the end of the class
* Time for questions and individual doubts
The structure can also be adapted according to the student's requirements, whether they need detailed topic-wise teaching, revision before examinations or focused doubt-clearing sessions.

Pricing & Class Details
Individual online classes: ₹1,200 per hour.
The first 30-minute introductory class is offered free of charge. This session can be used to understand the student's academic requirements, discuss the topics they need help with, and get familiar with my teaching approach.
After the introductory session, regular classes are charged at ₹1,200 per hour.
Classes can be arranged according to the student's requirements, including:
* Detailed topic-wise teaching
* Complete or partial syllabus coverage
* Examination-oriented revision
* Doubt clarification
* Important topic revision before examinations
* Viva preparation
* Concept-based learning of difficult topics
* Samhita reading and understanding
5-hour package: ₹6,000
10-hour package: ₹12,000
The duration and frequency of classes can be discussed according to the student's academic schedule and requirements.
All classes are conducted online via webcam, and the medium of instruction is English or Malayalam.
Students can choose individual sessions when they need help with a particular topic, or opt for a package when they require regular academic guidance.
