About Theresa
Moving too fast is the quickest way to kill your momentum. Honestly, I find that most people try to rush their scales before they can even hold a pick correctly.
We will break down music theory into manageable chunks that make sense in a live setting. As a session player, I focus heavily on how you sound in a band or on a stage. Intermediate learners appreciate the structure I bring from my Bachelor of Arts background.
I apply 13 years of stagecraft to ensure your hands and your mind are working in total harmony. We prioritize the practical skills like reading tabs and maintaining your instrument. It stays simple and direct.

Strings often feel like tangled wires until someone shows you the map. Have you ever wondered why your fingers just will not land where they should? I have spent 13 years working as a session player, which means I know exactly how to turn frustration into functional technique.
Theory is not just for scholars. It is the backbone of every blues progression and rhythm guitar part I play. 497 students have joined me to move past the plateau of self-teaching.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music from McGill University. My work requires constant maintenance of my own gear and my own ears. That habit carries over into how I teach tuning and rhythm to working professionals.
