About Kiley
I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Biology. My academic background allowed me to gain a strong understanding of cellular/molecular biology, animal form and function, ecology, microbiology, genetics, conservation biology, and general chemistry, which I enjoy using to tutor students in a clear and engaging way. Throughout my studies, I have garnered strong research and problem-solving skills, which I like to incorporate into my lessons. While I am relatively new to online tutoring, I have experience assisting peers and younger students in understanding complex biology topics. In college, I was a lab assistant/tutor for biology and chemistry lab classes. I assisted in laboratory procedures, hosted open labs, and answered student questions. During this time, I learned important teaching skills that I can use for a variety of learning styles.

I am open to tutoring high school and college level students on topics of Biology and Chemistry. Each student learns differently, which is why I believe it is important to work and communicate what study methods are best for each student. Based on the subject, I like to use diagrams, images, and real-life examples to help students understand complex concepts. I also find discussion-based learning to be useful in developing strong problem-solving skills. I am patient, understanding, and excited to help students succeed in their studies.
