About Aashna

Hello everyone! My name is Aashna Sharma, and I’m truly excited to be your English teacher. I’ve always believed that language is one of the most powerful tools we have—it helps us connect, express ourselves, and understand the world better. I’ve spent the past few years building my skills in communication, reading, writing, and public speaking, and I want to share what I’ve learned with all of you. Teaching gives me joy because it allows me to help others grow, gain confidence, and discover their potential. I’m here not just to teach English as a subject, but to make it enjoyable and meaningful. I believe that learning is a two-way street, so I look forward to learning from all of you as well.

About the lesson

As an English teacher, I believe in adopting a dynamic and student-centered approach to language learning. I integrate a variety of methods to address different learning styles and proficiency levels. Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) forms the core of my practice, encouraging students to speak confidently through interactive activities such as role-plays, group discussions, and real-life simulations. I also use Task-Based Learning to help students engage with practical assignments like planning events or writing newsletters, enhancing their ability to use English meaningfully. To build foundational skills, especially in younger or beginner learners, I incorporate phonics-based instruction and visual aids to reinforce sound-letter associations. I make effective use of technology and multimedia—such as educational videos, apps, and podcasts—to create a stimulating and immersive learning environment. Additionally, I foster reading and writing through guided reading sessions, vocabulary journals, and creative writing tasks. By incorporating peer learning, cultural projects, and consistent feedback, I aim to create a supportive classroom where students are motivated to grow as confident English communicators.
