About Robyn
I am a student at the University of Pretoria and I am in my first year. I have received pass with distinctions for all of my modules so far which include Chemistry, Physics Applied Calculus, Cell Biology and Medical Terminology. I have my NSC with 3 distinctions, one of which is Biology.

My teaching method is to find out what sections are currently being covered in the syllabus and to familiarise myself with the content and prepare a quiz and worksheet on the content before the tutoring session. At the start of each session, I determine where the problem areas are by asking the student directly what they’re struggling with as well as asking them to explain to me the concepts they already understand. Once the problem areas are determined, I will explain and work through the content with the student (focusing on the areas where they’re struggling). At the end of the session I will ask the student to complete the quiz for me to assess before the next tutoring session in order to see if they now understand the work, and I will give them feedback in the next tutoring session. I will also give them a worksheet to do at home should they need extra practice.
