About Esme
When I first auditioned for drama schools I went in with little to no understanding of what was expected of me. I had years of theatre experience, private LAMDA acting sessions more than once a week and an A in Drama A-Level under my belt. I naively thought this would be enough, but when I sent my self tapes, joined my zoom calls and arrived at my in person auditions, I realised that actually I had very little understanding of what these schools were looking for. I felt incredibly lost and an overwhelming sense of imposter syndrome. My hope is that by sharing what I have learnt in my time at the institution I am incredibly lucky to study at, I can help young actors understand that it never has to be as scary as it seems!

Auditions can be tough! I am a tutor with nine years of theatre experience and two years of professional training under my belt. I have studied under some of the best tutors and practitioners that the industry has to offer and I am hoping to pass on these tips so that the next generation of actors have a more confident audition season than the ones that I endured.
