About Tyranique
I currently work at the university of the Bahamas as a biology laboratory technician and I have experience teaching in the classroom on and off for the past 5 years. I've been tutoring for 8 years. I enjoy sharing the knowledge I have and ensure that my students leave with a full understanding doing of the subject I'm teaching.
I also have experience tutoring biology, social studies, history, music and french.

I have a bachelors degree in biochem which means that I have knowledge of both inorganic chemistry and organic chemistry.
I know that some topics in chemistry can be a bit difficult to grasp (trust me. I know. I've been there) so my lessons are built from the introductory materials so that I know you have a firm foundation and then we build up from there.
We will start from topics such as what is chemistry and how does it exist in the world around us. Then we go into basic concepts such as the period table, what are atoms, elements, molecules and compounds and the last will be organic chemistry in which we will discuss topics such as the functional groups and their reactivity.
My teaching strategies include visualisation and asking alot of thought provoking questions. With visualisation, I enlist the aid of youtube to explain concepts that are hard to perceive in the natural so that it can be related to the natural. I find that it is easier to relate to a topic, no matter the subject, when you can relate it to something you see everyday. Then I ask alot of questions to ensure you truely understand while giving practice questions to complete to also test your understanding.
Dont worry. I try to make my lessons fun and interesting as well (because who likes a boring chemistry class?!)
The lesson pace is catered to the student: it can be as fast or as slow as youd like. I want to ensure that you, as a student, are comfortable and confident in each area of this subject so that it can be carried onto your future career.
