About Esin
I am a postdoctoral researcher with a strong background in academic writing, research, and scientific communication. Throughout my academic career, I have written and contributed to research papers, grant applications, theses, CVs and cover letters. I understand the challenges students face when writing in formal English.
I enjoy helping students and researchers improve their writing, not just by correcting mistakes, but by teaching them how to express complex ideas clearly and effectively. My goal is to make academic writing less stressful and more structured.
I work with students from diverse backgrounds, particularly those writing in English as a second language, and I focus on building both confidence and long-term writing skills.

I offer personalised Academic English support focused on thesis writing, scientific writing, and proofreading. As a postdoctoral researcher in Genomics and Epigenetics, I understand the expectations of academic writing and help students communicate their ideas clearly, concisely, and professionally.
My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs. We can work on structuring essays and theses, improving clarity and flow, refining grammar, and editing drafts. I also provide detailed feedback on writing, explaining not just what to change.
Sessions are typically 60 minutes and can be adapted depending on your goals. I work mainly with undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD students, as well as researchers preparing papers or dissertations.
My approach is practical and collaborative. I aim to build your confidence and independence as a writer, not just correct your work.
