About Anna
I am an experienced admissions tutor and an award-winning architecture graduate holding a First Class degree in BSc Architecture (RIBA Pt I) and a distinction in MArch Architecture (RIBA Pt II), both from The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL.
I offer tutoring sessions to people aspiring to study architecture/design at university by giving guidance on how to develop successful UCAS applications (specialising in personal statements and portfolio building), or to people currently at university seeking to develop their skills (teaching softwares, project development and image making).
During my application to university I held offers for: The Bartlett (UCL), Cambridge (Queens' College), University of Bath, University of Nottingham, and Reading University. And, students I have tutored have received offers from prestigious schools such as: The Bartlett (UCL), Cambridge, Bath, The AA, The University of Auckland (NZ), etc. Aside from success in tutoring, my work experience includes: Architectural Designer at Populous, Architectural Assistant at Foster+Partners, Freelance Visualiser, Installation Designer, and First Year Mentor at the Bartlett, UCL.

During one-to-one sessions, we will always start the first session by setting goals and discussing the aims of the session (e.g. application for university X or need help learning software Y) before setting out a tailored structure.
PORTFOLIO SESSIONS: The tutorials will be run similar to how conversations between a student and university tutor would be run; they will involve students presenting their work or ideas, followed by feedback and discussion. This is aimed to strengthen existing portfolios or can involve a series of sessions which build a portfolio from scratch. Time will also be allowed for more general questions to do with applications (such as personal statements/interview advice).
PROJECT SESSIONS/OTHER: These sessions will also involve students presenting their work or ideas but will be more discussion based. This is useful when seeking creative input, practising presentation skills, strengthening project workflow etc.
DIGITAL SKILLS WORKSHOPS: 1to1 workshops are offered in Rhino3D, VRay and Adobe InDesign. These are a great opportunity to learn new skills or refresh yourself in existing ones.

Perfect! I did 1 to 1 lessons with Anna, over a portfolio period, a personal statement period and the interview period for UCL. I went from feeling extremely unorganised to feeling incredibly confident for each stage of the application process and really can say i would not be attending UCL next year without her help and skills. I could not recommend anyone more, especially for Bartlett!
Perfect! Anna is honestly one of the best tutors I’ve ever had. I only had less than four months before my UCAS deadline to prepare both my personal statement and architecture portfolio, and I had absolutely no idea where to start. She guided me step by step, teaching me how to structure a strong portfolio, develop my ideas clearly, improve my layout, and refine my vocabulary for my personal statement. Even when I wasn’t confident or felt my work wasn’t good enough, she was patient and pushed me to improve. She set thoughtful tasks that strengthened my projects and helped me build a much more cohesive and professional portfolio. Thanks to her support, I received offers from all five universities I applied to, including Bartlett and Manchester. She also helped me prepare for interviews, which made a huge difference. Perfect! Anna is an amazing tutor, and I can’t recommend her highly enough. She assisted me with my university application, and I learned a lot from her. Anna is an amazing and talented designer and tutor!
Anna worked steadily over a very short time scale to assist my son, who had no previous experience of art or drawing, to prepare a portfolio and successfully apply for a place at the Auckland University School of Architecture and Planning. Without Anna’s help this quite simply would not have been possible. She bought out the best in Blake, supported him and helped him believe it was possible. We can’t thank her enough.
