About Jonny
Jonny Thwaites is a 28 year old professional Bass Player based in South East London. He studied Music Performance at The Academy of Contemporary Music (Guildford), and since then he has acquired vast experience in gigging, touring and studio recording. He has studied under renowned bass guitarists, such as Paul Turner (Jamiroquai, Sister Sledge), Paul Geary (George Michael, Nik Kershaw), and Joe Hubbard (Gary Numan). Throughout his professional career, Jonny has played with a number of artists such as Q, Jordan Mackampa, Lily Moore, and Terra Twin. He has toured throughout the UK, Europe, and Asia. He has performed at festivals throughout the UK and Europe such as Radio 1's Big Weekend, All Points East, and Pukklepop. He has also performed at the Singapore F1 Grand Prix (2018/2019). He has years of experience playing in events bands and is a member of multiple wedding bands. He also has experience playing on TV recordings (TivoliVredenburg, Utrecht, Netherlands). Jonny also has vast experience working in recording studios, working on live recordings and music videos at Abbey Road Studios and AIR studios.
