About Cecilia
I've been teaching ESL for 22 years. 10 years in Taiwan as a cram school teacher and 12 years in Canada as a private tutor. I have TOEIC score 910/990. My students are aged from 3 to adults. I enjoy teaching and helping my students from struggling to loving English. Learning is supposed to be fun and I'm always so glad that my students can have the joy of exploring the fun with me together.

My lessons can be about phonics and grammar learning, reading with strategic comprehension, and writing with proper structures. I am very passionate about teaching and I like to use chants or songs that I created, or pictures association to help my students remember phonics or difficult grammar concepts. Once the foundation is built up, students have confidence to read and write. Reading is the resource of inspiration for their personal writings. The more the students can read, the more creative they can write. We can go through different types of writing, such as informative, compare and contrast, persuasive, or even essays. My most common and the best feedbacks from my students are the moments when they tell me that they want to be a teacher as well in the future. If you or your children are struggling for learning English, I would like to see you strive for the successful and confident way to learn with me.
