About Kathy
I am currently a college student at UC Berkeley looking to work with others to give them confidence in their academic journey. I grew up in San Jose where I surprisingly never was introduced to anything data science related. It wasn't until college where I learned about the Data Science major and fell in love with its intersectionality and versatility in opportunities. Hence, I want to spread the knowledge and get more people started in this exciting field.
I have always liked helping people in any way I could, so it was common to see me staying after class to help my struggling classmates with new class topics. With that, I knew being a tutor would be something I enjoyed.
I have 4+ years experience tutoring in mathematics and english.
I have a very bubbly, positive personality that will make learning fun and exciting! I can’t wait to meet new students :)

I give holistic lessons about fundamentals of data science for those looking to learn about this budding field.
I will teach data science from the beginning, catered to those who do not have experience in coding, from basics of python all the way to making visualizations of large data sets.
I am extremely friendly and welcoming to any beginners who are looking to diversify their skills and learn something new in the realm of data science!
Data science is extremely applicable in our increasingly technological world. Working with data involves technical skills like math and coding as well as a business aspect similar to consulting by analyzing and drawing conclusions from the data.
