About Aaya
I graduated from UC-Berkeley with a high honors degree in Cognitive Neuroscience, and I understand what it takes to earn good marks in your classes. During those years, I aced all my math, neuroscience, and psychology classes. Shortly after graduating, I worked with a highly prestigious company called Axiom Learning. This company was founded by two Harvard graduates, and is also backed by the Bill Gates Foundation.

I work with each student based on their needs. I do not have a one-size-fits-all approach, and create tailored lesson plans for the individuals. I first assess how they best learn, and go from there. I have worked with many students on raising their grades, developing their executive functioning skills, and acing their college prep exams. I make sure to explain everything thoroughly, and the students get ample time to try things out on their own. I also work within the "Zone of Proximal Development" (ZPD for short). Lastly, I make sure that each lesson is as fun as possible, with breaks and rewards throughout to maintain focus and motivation. I can work with students from K-12th grade, and also with college-level pre-calc and psychology students.
