About Shivm
Hi! My name is Shivm Patel, and I’m a UC Berkeley student studying Molecular and Cell Biology and Business Administration. I’ve worked at the intersection of science and strategy—from conducting biotech research to helping scale startups and even organizing high-level case competitions with top sponsors like Microsoft and Sequoia Capital. My background gives me a unique ability to simplify complex ideas, whether in biology, chemistry, finance, or business strategy, and explain them in a way that’s clear, practical, and tailored to each student. I’ve helped students boost their academic performance, prepare for competitive internships, and gain confidence in subjects they once struggled with. I bring professionalism, patience, and a deep commitment to your success. Whether you're looking to master a tough science class, tackle business concepts, or prep for a big opportunity, I’m here to help you reach your goals.

My approach as a tutor is rooted in clarity, personalization, and real-world relevance. I focus on breaking down complex topics—whether in biology, chemistry, business, or finance—into simple, intuitive explanations using analogies, visual aids, and practical examples. I tailor each session to the student’s learning style, whether they prefer hands-on practice, visual learning, or conceptual discussion. A typical lesson begins with a quick recap of prior material, followed by a deep dive into new content, active problem-solving, and a short wrap-up to reinforce key takeaways. What sets me apart is my interdisciplinary perspective—I draw connections across science, business, and technology to make material more engaging and memorable. I also emphasize applications beyond the classroom, especially for students preparing for research, pre-med, competitive internships, or case competitions. My lessons are best suited for undergraduate and advanced high school students in molecular biology, business, or those interested in the intersection of biotech and entrepreneurship.
