About Timothy
My main occupation is composing music, but piano is at the center of most of my compositions. I studied performance for many years at the collegial level at McGill University, and I have been part of small and large ensembles, as well as choirs. Having been self-taught when I first picked up the instrument, I understand the struggles of finding of learning and of finding a good teacher that can push the limits of your technique. I truly believe that finding your own repertoire to work on will exponentially raise your motivation and your attention to detail. I look forward from meeting you and I hope we can make some good music together!

Practice makes perfect, my methodology is based on hard work and on the notion that talent is far from everything. Resilience, open-mindedness, and patience are at the core of my teachings. For beginners and intermediate levels, theory will be at the core in order to understanding performance, and bring another dimension to playing piano. Effective technique exercises will be introduced and repertoire based on the student's interests will be chosen.
