About Lydia
I graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2017 with a Cum Laude. My primary instrument is voice, though I’ve had training as a Classical guitarist and a pianist too. After graduating, I went on to work for the Berklee India Exchange for 4 years, as an administrator, producer and coach, at times leading the vocal ensemble, as well as performing both as a background and solo vocalist. In addition to my work at Berklee, I’ve also performed and served as a vocal coach at the globally renowned Jazzaar Festival in Switzerland over several years, and contributed to several of their record releases, both as a vocalist, as well as composer and arranger.

When I was taught music, a lot of it came with prescriptions of what the voice was supposed to sound like and the proper techniques to achieve this. Model after these singers, don’t do what that one does, etc. Over the years, I have completely shed this belief. There is nothing more personal than a human voice and it is not for me to tell anyone what theirs is supposed to sound like. If you like it, that’s all you need. What I WILL and CAN help you with is: - how to use your voice without damaging it - how to utilize the full spectrum of what the human voice has to offer - how to secure what you do with little hacks and concepts, so you can always deliver, even on bad days Singing is meant to be a form of self-expression first and foremost. I’m just here to enable and ease the process of it.
