About Juniper
I am a dedicated flute tutor who loves helping students grow musically, creatively, and personally. My teaching combines mentorship, accountability, critical thinking, and creativity to ensure steady progress. I focus on tone, phrasing, rhythm, and breath control while encouraging expressive musicality. I also teach music theory, sight-reading, and ear training to develop well-rounded musicianship. Creativity is emphasized through improvisation, composition, and musical storytelling. I guide students to set goals, practice consistently, and take ownership of their learning. Mistakes are treated as opportunities for growth and self-reflection. I adapt lessons to each student’s pace, skill level, and personal interests. I act as a mentor, offering guidance, motivation, and constructive feedback. Lessons balance technical skill-building with creative exercises to keep students engaged. I emphasize reflection, problem-solving, and independent thinking in every session. My goal is to build confidence, independence, and a lifelong love for music. My flute teaching approach is centered on creativity, structure, and personal growth. I believe learning music should be enjoyable, meaningful, and inspiring. Each lesson encourages students to explore sound, phrasing, and expression. I act as a mentor who guides students to think critically and develop their own musical voice.
Accountability is a key part of my teaching—I help students stay consistent and track their progress. Lessons include tone exercises, breath control, rhythm, and phrasing practice. I also teach music theory, sight-reading, and listening exercises to build complete musicianship. Creativity is encouraged through improvisation, composition, and musical storytelling. I encourage students to reflect on their playing and learn from mistakes. My teaching is flexible, adapting to each student’s pace, skill level, and goals. I emphasize confidence, discipline, and independence in every lesson.
