About Daria
I’m a bilingual (Russian-English) teacher with over 12 years of experience helping students of all ages — from preschoolers to busy professionals — build real confidence in English.
I also grew up with Kazakh and have a basic knowledge of Spanish, so navigating multiple languages and cultures is second nature to me. My own language journey started as a teenager with a deep love of music: I wanted to understand my favorite artists’ songs and interviews so badly that I started thinking in English long before I ever set foot in an English-speaking country.
That curiosity led me to a degree in Linguistics and a Master’s in Regional Studies from one of Russia’s most international universities, a summer course at Oxford, and a career that’s taken me from classrooms in Moscow to teaching migrant families now settled in the US, Canada, and the UAE.
Having moved countries myself, I know firsthand what it feels like to learn, work, and live in a new language — and I bring that empathy into every lesson.

Whether I’m working with a child on school curriculum and exam prep, or an adult building everyday conversational confidence, every lesson is customized to that student’s needs — with plenty of speaking practice, clear structure, and (for younger learners) playful, gamified tasks to keep motivation high.
My lessons are structured and skill-focused, so every part of the language — speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary — gets the attention it needs to develop.
I draw on diverse educational materials tailored to each student’s specific goals and level, alongside authentic materials like books, videos, and interviews to keep things engaging.
Just as important to me is creating a safe space where students feel comfortable being themselves. I want you to feel free to ask questions, make mistakes, and even laugh along the way. You’ll always have my full support and gentle guidance.
