About Tanya
I grew up as the eldest child in my immigrant family, which by default meant I was the translator, the one who made all the phone calls, the one who read all the paperwork. As I got older I was also the one who taught the younger children English, and soon began teaching others Portuguese, and I love sharing languages because I believe that knowing the basics can get you far - I also taught myself Spanish and Italian basics, as well as being top of my class in French at school!

I believe that learning should be fun, not strict. I try to teach in a way that is relevant to real life scenarios, which includes learning to talk about things that interest you outside of school or work.
I have ADHD, so I work in short but fairly intense bursts. This is great for neurodiverse children, or any young children.
