About Nour
I am a bilingual French tutor with over five years of experience helping students build strong skills and real confidence in French. I hold an Honors Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto, where I completed a double major in Political Science and Teaching French as a Second Language. This background allows me to offer lessons that are both structured and easy to follow.
I’ve worked with students of all ages, from elementary to university, as well as adults looking to improve their conversational or professional French. I understand that everyone learns differently, so I take the time to adapt my teaching style to each student’s needs, pace, and goals.
My approach focuses on creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I break down concepts in a clear, simple way, and make sure each lesson is engaging and practical. Whether we’re working on grammar, conversation or exam preparation, my goal is to make French feel more accessible and less overwhelming.

My approach to tutoring is centered on building confidence, consistency, and real-world communication skills. As a bilingual French speaker with over five years of tutoring experience and formal training in Teaching French as a Second Language from the University of Toronto, I focus on making French both accessible and enjoyable for every student.
My teaching methodology is highly personalized. I adapt each lesson based on the student’s level, goals, and learning style. Whether a student is a visual learner, prefers conversation-based practice, or needs structured grammar support, I adjust my approach to ensure effective progress. I combine grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, and reading in a balanced way so students develop well-rounded skills.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous material, followed by the introduction of a new concept. We then practice through interactive exercises, guided conversation, and real-life scenarios. I always include speaking practice to help students feel more comfortable expressing themselves naturally. At the end of each session, I provide a brief recap and, if helpful, optional practice to reinforce learning.
