About Illias
After graduating from Balliol College, Oxford with a BA in History and Politics, I worked as a researcher and writer for a prominent political historian and then for a Labour MP before transitioning to work within the film industry as an assistant director.
I have experience tutoring in English, History and Politics, particularly with preparation for Oxbridge entrance exams and interviews.
Whilst at university I was a music scholar, managing and selecting the music as well as conducting a chapel choir as well as travelling the world in several singing groups. I have also been involved in drama, directing numerous plays and musicals.
I therefore have a wide range of experiences outside of academia which I believe contribute to my abilities as a tutor, allowing me to engage the student and tailor my teaching according to the individual.

I provide online lessons for English, History, British Politics and French conversation. I can provide classes for ages 11-18 as well as adults looking to improve their English as a foreign language.
Lessons will be tailored to the requirements and targets of the student and built around their abilities and skills.
