About Valerie
Ilived and studied in France at both the High School and University levels. In addition, I taught French for 23 years at both the Middle and High School levels. During 10 of these years, I taught AP French. Since my recent retirement, I have helped middle and high school as well as university students and adults online achieve their French language goals.

I believe in making French language learning as authentic as possible. My methods include using multiple on-line learning platforms and stressing all four competencies...speaking, listening, reading and writing. A typical lesson plan will vary by level. However, I always include a short introduction to a new topic, or a review of previous, explanation of grammar topic or interactive vocabulary lesson, guided practice, speaking, listening and reading practice. For AP or IB students, I include short grammar reviews, listening, reading, and speaking practice and tips and tricks to score high on the exam.
