About Dan
I currently work as a Bio and Chem teacher at Fusion Academy, and I love to work with all types of students! I teach middle school science, as well as CP and AP levels of Biology and Chemistry. I've tutored subjects as varied as the LSAT, OChem, and 5th grade reading, both for severely struggling students and West Point matriculants.
I have been tutoring for nearly 10 years now, since starting at college in 2011. In that time, I was recognized as lead student-tutor for my OChem unit, and I traveled to the Chihuahan Steppe to study the genomic markers of Mexican Jays. My teaching has introduced me to all types of students, and I often learn from them as well. It is my goal to make concepts as simple as possible, because I believe that is the mark of true understanding.

In my time teaching and tutoring, I have developed an appreciation for working with students at all levels. I have taught a great deal of science due to popular demand, but my first passion is reading. I scored in the 97th percentile on the LSAT, and my reading comprehension skills are the core of that mastery. I have a firm grasp on gleaning meaning from text, and that skill plays a crucial role in my life. I would love to pass that skill on to others.
