About Gabriella
Hello, I'm Gabi! I am currently a Pre-Medical Student studying Chemical Biology at a 4-year, private university. I myself have undergone tutoring and have taken a number of challenging science and math courses, ranging from AP Courses to University level classes.
Subsequently, I have great experience with the content that students in math and science curricula engage with, and work to ensure my students feel comfortable and confident in their coursework. I have been a tutor for 6+ years, for grades 7-12 and even university students!
In high school I graduated top of my class, and continue to support a high GPA in university; as such, I am genuinely prepared to help students succeed, and I know how to provide students with academic skills both in their courses and in general.
I enjoy academics, and always make it a priority to ensure students develop positive relationships with their courses, even those they find challenging or unfavorable; trust me, it can happen!

- To teach I use online meetings in which screen-sharing is used to explore concepts and specific questions. I will go over anything the student prefers
- I generally ask students to share topics or questions of concern prior to meeting, so that I can prepare conceptual and practical examples for them. I will then go over concepts and a couple of examples, then will ask for the student to either explain the concepts back to me, and will ask for them to complete a series f practice problems which I review at the end of the lesson to check comprehension.
- As a tutor, I find what sets me apart from most in the fact that I myself am a student, and a student that has had a tutor before! I know that sometimes it can feel scary to have a tutor, and I know that sometimes receiving a tutor can be. point of insecurity for students. However, I myself have been a tutee, and I am a student; I know how to approach problems from a perspective that some professors and teachers cannot, and I know how to make the learning environment feel less daunting and judgmental!
- Generally these lessons are for students of all grades 7-University, pursuing Science and English courses. I am skilled in AP Exam style tutoring, as well as general course tutoring. I can aid in all hard sciences, English/reading/writing courses, and calculus courses.
