About Connor
Hi, I'm Connor! I'm currently a Biochemistry PhD student at Trinity College Dublin, where my research focuses on understanding how cells use nutrients to support health and disease. My passion for biology and chemistry began in school and has continued to grow throughout my undergraduate, postgraduate, and research career.
Alongside my research, I genuinely enjoy teaching and helping students gain confidence in subjects that can often seem challenging. Whether you're preparing for the Leaving Certificate, tackling undergraduate coursework, or aiming for top exam results, I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where no question is too small.
I know from my own experience that success in science comes from understanding concepts rather than memorizing them. Throughout my academic journey, I have developed effective study techniques and exam strategies that helped me progress to PhD level, and I enjoy sharing these with my students. My goal is not only to improve grades but also to help students become more confident, independent learners.

My lessons are tailored to each student's needs and typically last 1–2 hours, providing enough time to cover both the underlying concepts and exam technique. I use past exam questions throughout each lesson to identify areas for improvement and develop the skills needed to maximise marks. Alongside question practice, I explain the scientific principles in a clear and accessible way, breaking down complex topics into manageable steps. I also share practical revision strategies, memory techniques, and exam tips to help students retain key information, build confidence, and approach assessments with a structured problem-solving mindset.
