About Suleiman
Hi! I’m Suleiman — a Biochemistry undergraduate at UCL and a passionate tutor for IGCSE/ GCSE and IB Chemistry. I achieved 44 points in the International Baccalaureate (IB), including 7 in Higher Level Chemistry, as well as seven grade 9s at GCSE, so I know exactly what it takes to excel in these subjects. My lessons are relaxed but focused — I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions. I aim to simplify complex concepts, connect ideas clearly, and build confidence through practice and understanding rather than memorisation. As someone who’s recently been through the GCSE and IB exams myself, I understand the challenges students face and how to overcome them. I adapt each lesson to suit the student’s pace, strengths, and goals — whether it’s improving exam technique, tackling difficult topics, or aiming for top grades. As a recent school leaver, I understand the difficulty of grasping various concepts in Chemistry. I place importance on thorough understanding before moving forward and making sure we hone in practice questions. There is no such thing as a good or bad student. My 90-120 minute lesson will be adapted based on the student's most efficient studying method. I aim to identify the topics which students find difficult and break them down into pigeon steps with the reassurance that there are never any silly questions! Having received 44/45 (top 0.9% globally) in my IB, I am equipped with the sufficient tools to help you thrive and make chemistry enjoyable!
